YouTube got a new update. And it’s not a bad news.

There are a couple of back to back YouTube updates that are going to help small YouTubers with 1000 or more subscribers plus help them financially at the same time.

How?

UPDATE 1 – Spotlight for Nascent Channels

To help new YouTube channels with fewer subscribers and views, YouTube rolled out a new update where it will highlight a total of four channels two creators and two musicians — for a full day within the Trending tab via badges representing their channels gaining traction.

In their new blog, A New Way To Discover Up-And-Coming Creators & Artists; any creator or artist with over 1,000 subscribers is eligible to be featured. The selection process of these YouTube videos will be based on a bunch of factors including view count, watch time and subscriber growth. Also, their team will also be involved in selection procedure depending on their eligibility criteria.

Spotlight for Nascent Channels

The highlighted two creators and two artists each week will be informed by YouTube so that they can share the happy news with their fans.

UPDATE 2 – Super Chat

If your patreon page is not getting any traction from your fans and viewers on your YouTube channel, then you a new method to finance your YouTube production. Over the years, YouTube has definitely helped its creators by providing YouTube space all over the world, including many other updates that helped gamers, vloggers, and Entertainment/comedy channels.

Yesterday, YouTube’s latest update was to help the business part of every YouTubers problem. Their new tool will help fans can creators connect during LIVE STREAM SUPER CHAT.

Super Chat is a highlighted message in the chat stream that stands out from the crowd to get even more of your favorite creator’s attention during Live Streams.

The addition in this YouTube’s latest update is reminiscent of porn cam site’s and streaming site Twitch’s Cheering feature where it allows viewers to pay real money in order to have their messages stand out in the chat stream through the use of emotes (animated icons.)

The YouTube’s update “Super Chat” was launched into beta with top YouTubers, including iHasCupquake, Great Library (buzzbean11) and Alex Wassabi. It will roll out more broadly at month end for creators in 20 countries and viewers in more than 40 countries.
