For U.S.A, Jan 20th will be the official end of the most controversial and widely discussed presidential election of the century. An election that saw countless debates, defamation allegations, public apologies, increase in usage of twitter, victory speeches, public protests, sensationalism, 26 election debates, and a result that shock whole world, Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration is here.

Inauguration Timings

On Jan 19, President-elect Donald Trump and vice-president elect Mike Pence will lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery. It will be followed by “Make America Great Again!” concert at the Lincoln Memorial.

On Jan 20, 5 pm GMTDonald Trump will take the Oath of Office and be sworn in as America’s 45th president. Chief Justice John Roberts of the US Supreme Court will administer the oath on the steps of the United States Capitol Building.

Expect a 20 minutes’ speech just like Obama did when he was sworn twice. Soon after Donald Trump takes the oath, Mike Pence, the vice president-elect, will continue the process. After being sworn in, President Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, and their families will take part in the inaugural parade.

Who will attend

In contrast to President Barack Obama’s record-holding 2008 inauguration ceremony, event planners are expecting about 900,000 audiences. Former presidents George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter will be there with their first ladies.

Former first lady Hillary Clinton (Trump’s opponent in the 2016 election) is scheduled to attend the ceremony with her husband, former president Bill Clinton. Living presidents who are not going to attend the ceremony are George H.W. Bush and former first lady Barbara Bush, who are hospitalized at present.

Make America Great Again Concert

While almost every celebrated artist is sidelining themselves from this concert, there are few who are actually attending the ceremony. Celebrities who are attending are Toby Keith, Jon Voight, Jennifer Holliday, DJ Ravidrums, The Piano Guys, Tim Rushlow (“Little Texas”), Larry Stewart (“Restless Heart”), Marty Roe (“Diamond Rio”), Lee Greenwood, and 3 Doors Down.

Considering Obama’s Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial which was attended by legendary artists like Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, U2, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Herbie Hancock, Garth Brooks, Stevie Wonder, Pete Seeger (to name a few,) Trumps list looks rather slumping in cold air.

Where to watch it live on YouTube

The Inauguration will be broadcasted live on YouTube by many private and non-profit public media channels like C-SPAN, Bloomberg Politics, and the Washington Post.

For television viewers in U.S.A, the proceedings will be aired by all major news channels, including NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News, with special all-day inauguration coverage.

One mainstream news channel that got banned from broadcasting live on Facebook is Russian news outlet RT News. Facebook has limited the posting privileges of RT news on its platform after the Russian media channel ran an allegedly pirated live stream of President Barack Obama’s last press conference.

According to the reports, with 37% to 40 % popular approval ratings, President-elect Donald Trump will enter the white house with the lowest popularity rating in the history of Untied States Presidents. Just to give you a comparison, former president Gorge. W. Bush had a popularity rating of 49% on his second term, even after the inhumane terrorist attacks in New York, with Barack Obama’s being 58%.

Donald Trump will be facing the public that’s costumed to believe that their upcoming president-elect is an ill-tempered, foul mouth, and highly conservative agendas ahead. Considering this, all we have to say to the people in the U.S.A is that they can love him, or hate him, but can’t ignore him. They just cannot, even if they try to.
