After The Keys of Christmas, YouTube is ready for some serious damage this Christmas holiday with their other Christmas flick called Ghostmates (2016) and stars Smosh’s Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla among other assembled cast. Ghostmates – the movie is directed by Jack Henry Robbins, who also directed Opening Night (2016) starring Cheyenne Jackson of American Horror Story (TV Series).

Unlike their previous movie which did not release internationally and was released as on-demand on Vimeo and Netflix., this movie definitely fits into the new YouTube Red setting. Also, this is the second Smosh feature film, the first one being Smosh: The Movie, but this is the first Smosh venture to the YouTube Red platform.

Slightly based on the tracks of 2015’s Romance/Horror flick Nina Forever, the film follows a down-on-his-luck man must help a self-absorbed ghost finish his last request so he can ascend to Heaven. “Ghostmates” includes a cameo by rap artist T-Pain, who plays a good ghost resident of the ghost world, and co-stars Francesca Galassi and Cristina Spruell.

To check out Ghostmates, you’ll need a subscription to YouTube Red, which costs $9.99 per month. If you are residing outside U.S., Australia, Mexico or New Zealand; then you can purchase on YouTube Red Originals channel for INR 250.
