In this blog, we will discuss the steps to create an Instagram video ad campaign using either the Facebook Power Editor or directly on the Instagram App.
STEPS TO CREATE INSTAGRAM VIDEO ADS USING FACEBOOK ADS MANAGER:
You need to first go to Power Editor and then click on Manage Ads tab which is at the top of the page. You can use the following link: Facebook.com/ads/manager/creation
Now you need to choose an objective for your campaign. The objective that you choose needs to be compatible with Instagram. The options that you have there are:
- Brand Awareness
- App Installs
- Video Views
- Lead Generation
Considering that you are going to create a video ad campaign, you may select the “Video Views” objective.
After you have selected the objective, click on “Continue” and move ahead in the process where you need to fill in the details of your advertisement which includes – Targeting, Budget, Schedule, and Creative(Video).
Before you finish all the steps, ensure that you select Instagram in the “Ad Preview” section of ad creation. This will enable the advertisement to run on Instagram.
STEPS TO CREATE INSTAGRAM VIDEO ADS DIRECTLY ON INSTAGRAM APP:
Once you have linked your Instagram account with your Facebook page and have everything in place (like billing details, conversion to business profile) then you will see a “Promote” button at lower right corner below your photo or video which you want to promote.
Go to the required post for which you want to create a video campaign and click on “Promote”.
Next, you need to choose your objective for the video ad campaign.
After you have chosen the objective, you now need to “Select Button Text” which has the following options:
- Learn More
- Watch More
- Shop Now
- Book Now
- Sign Up
- Contact Us
Now you need to further scroll down and choose the target “Audience”. It will show you your saved audience from Facebook Ads and also an option to create a new set of audience for this campaign.
After you are done selecting the Audience, go ahead and set the budget and duration. And your ad will go live in no time!
