SungWon Cho – the name might not ring a bell to many people. But say ProZD, hundreds of thousands of people will recognize it immediately! SungWon is a voice actor who became famous via his funny videos posted to Vine when the platform was at its peak. His vines have clocked over an incredible 508 Million loops! Even after the premature death of Vine, he is still popular through his presence on other platforms like YouTube, Instagram and Tumblr where he regularly posts funny skits, commentaries and game-plays to entertain people.
In 2010, he posted a video of him singing a parody of the famous Disney song “Under the Sea” in the voice of Andrew Ryan, a character from popular video game Bioshock. Even though the video didn’t clock millions of views like his other videos, it did catch the attention of a lot of people.
The growth in popularity
Over the next few years, he regularly posted dubs of animations for video games like Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Professor Layton and others; building a loyal fan base.
