Here is the report card you’ve been waiting for. In this blog, we recollect YouTube’s best performers and the most popular channels of 2015. We already did a yearly roundup of how different categories on YouTube performed last year in one of our recent posts and in this one, we cover Top 10 channels from different categories and countries.

Here’s the list:

#MUSIC:

This is the most popular YouTube genre of all. Over 1 million people subscribed to YouTube music channels everyday during 2015. Here are the most popular channels:

TAYLORSWIFTVEVO:

The teen sensation was the most popular music artist on YouTube in 2015. She added two videos to YouTube’s Billion View videos in 2015 Blank Space and Shake it off.

WIZ KHALIFA:

He joined the YouTube billion club with his hit single “See You Again ft. Charlie Puth”. This music video made him the second most viewed music artist on YouTube for 2015. They call him young, wild and free; so true.

SPINNIN ‘RECORDS:

This YouTube channel produces the best electronic, progressive house and electro house music straight from the world’s leading D.J artists and other musicians.

JUSTINBIEBERVEVO:

Justin was back in news in 2015, not because of controversies, but because of his music.

MAROON5VEVO:

September saw the release of their compilation album SINGLES which included twelve of their greatest hit singles.

KATYPERRYVEVO:

Katy is another female artist to have two of her music videos Roar and Dark Horse ft. Juicy J in YouTube billion views club.

RIHANNAVEVO:

With more than 7 billion viewership on her YouTube music channel, eight Grammy Awards and selling more than 200 million records worldwide, Rihanna is an unsurprising entry in the list.

DAVID GUETTA:

The French DJ had another great year on YouTube.

ARIANAGRANDEVEVO:

Two time Grammy nominated ARIANA GRANDE’s song has garnered more than 770 million viewers for the hit single Problem ft. Iggy Azalea Focus.

On an average, Entertainment channels on YouTube clocked more than 800 million views a day in 2015. Here are the top channels from the category that performed well:

WWE:

WWE made a lot of changes to its YouTube programming in 2015. It added neat playlists like 5 Things you didn’t know about WWE to make the channel more interesting. It also started adding behind the scene footages to the channel, and managed to perform well throughout the year.

GET MOVIES:

Home to Masha and the Bear which also joined YouTube billion club this 2015, Get Movies is the go-to YouTube channel for Russians who want to watch cartoons and other kids friendly videos.

ABS-CBN ENTERTAINMENT:
ABS is the major commercial television network in the Philippines. This YouTube channel has an astounding growth in terms of viewership in 2015 alone.

ZEETV:
This is the place where all the popular T.V shows are being broadcast back on YouTube for their ever large viewers. They have managed to gain followers in traditional T.V and on YouTube as well.

DISNEYCARTOYS:
Popular for its Play-Doh, giant surprise toys videos, and doll parodies; this kid-friendly YouTube channel is massively popular among kids around the globe.

Gaming still far from twitch but YouTube caught up on the gaming scene in 2015 with over 2 Million people subscribing to gaming channels daily.

PEWDIEPIE:
PewDiePie, aka Felix Kjellberg, is the Swedish YouTube superstar who is customary to top the list of the most subscribed channels on YouTube.

THEDIAMONDMINECART // DANTDM:
Daniel Middleton is known for his daily reviews as well as a Let’s Play series, including The Diamond Dimensions, a mod pack put together by Dan himself as well as the latest series of Minecraft Xbox One, where he attempts to build a giant kingdom in survival, etc.

He is the 19th popular YouTuber in the world. Although the channel consists mostly of gaming videos, there are many other vlogs and fan Q&A made by Rubén Doblas.

JACKSEPTICEYE:
He is one of the YouTube gamers who also contributed on PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist. With more than 8 million followers, he is regarded as an energetic video game commentator on YouTube.

JUEGAGERMAN:
This channel is created by HolaSoyGermán who has a vlogging channel with more than 25 million subscribers. He also won the “Icon of the Year” prize from MTV Millennial Awards 2014.

#HOW TO STYLE:

YouTube Beauty Channels are way popular than beauty brands itself. In 2015, A staggering 1,372,806 people subscribed to beauty & Fashion channels daily.

FUNTOYZCOLLECTOR:
This YouTube channel shows kid-friendly videos for toddlers, babies, infants, and pre-school children. You can get GlitterGlider dolls, MagiClip dolls, Shopkins, Cookie Monster Sesame Street, Learn ABC and many more.

BUZZFEEDYELLOW:

“BuzzFeedYellow” shares videos that are “fun, inspiring, interesting videos from the BuzzFeed crew”.

Blu toys reviews toys & Playsets from Disney Toys to Pixar Cars, Shopkins, pop-up toys, Surprise Eggs, Lego etc.

SEVENSUPERGIRLS:
Seven YouTube celebrities joined together to create this YouTube channel. They upload a new video every day with different hosts. Check out their schedule in their about section.

RYAN TOYSREVIEW:
In this YouTube channel, all the toys reviews are hosted by Ryan. Most of the toys we used to review are being donated to local charity.

SURPRISE EGGS UNBOXING TOYS:
Kinder Surprise Eggs are extremely popular around the world, but illegal to sell in the US. Apart from kinder surprise, there are many toy reviews for Hello Kitty, Disney princess, Disney toy story, Disney cars etc.

BFVSGF:
This YouTube vlogging channel was created by Jesse Wallens and his girlfriend Jeana Smith in 2009. Check out their daily vlogs and get addicted to days of their lives.

ROSANNA PANSINO:
She is the cupcake queen of YouTube. She inherited her baking skills from her grandmother and started her own YouTube channel after getting insisted from her friends.

RCLBEAUTY101:
The channel created by Rachel Levin in 2010 posts video blogs, comedy skits, and beauty/lifestyle videos. Originally from Philadelphia, she was a popular cheerleader in her high school.

YUYA:
16 years old Mariand joined YouTube by participating in a makeup contest. Now she got the highest YouTube subscribers in whole Latin America.
