This video was uploaded to YouTube, by BBC Earth Unplugged whose crew was on site to spot a blue whale for their ambitious project called Big Blue Live which is coming soon on BBC One and PBS in the U.S.

In the video, Zoologist Mark Carwardine outlines just how hard whale spotting can be. And he literally gets a surprise from out of the blue!
