In honor of International Women’s Day 2018, YouTube started a global campaign on their platform dubbed #HerVoiceIsMyVoice to salute the women empowerment and its fight for equal rights.

To foster a vibrant community for a platform whose users are of different race and gender, YouTube used #HerVoiceIsMyVoice to encourage creators to share a video about women who they think should be heard. For content creators, this is the opportunity to use their popularity to give light to women who are their inspiration.

YouTube created a new video for their campaign #HerVoiceIsMyVoice showcasing many popular female YouTubers Lilly Singh, Leona Chin, Hayla TV and showed clips of women who made their mark in the history books for their service, empowerment, and commitment on reducing the gender inequality.
