Online Video NewsVideo TrendsYouTube is removing subscribers “Again”

You may have heard of the “Un-Sub bug” on YouTube causing people to be unsubscribed from channels without their knowledge and creators losing subscribers at alarming rates.

Surprisingly, the 2013 YouTube algorithm change favored daily uploads and longer (10 mins or more) videos; which indirectly helped daily vloggers and let’s play gamers. This was the reason why daily uploaders like PewDiePie, LeafyIsHere, Casey Neistat and thousands of others flourished in this era of daily uploads and longer uploads as you can always find them in the trending section.

But in recent days, many top subscribed YouTubers created this video when they noticed that their YouTube channel is losing subscribers at a staggering rate.

YouTube is Not Being Honest with Us

“YouTube is a toddler playing with knives. Let’s take away the knives from that baby,” Felix Kjellberg

Following three glitches are common for every YouTube video made at present in response to the new YouTube bug.

  1. Views are going down after uploading new video
  2. Subscribers are getting unsubscribed without their consent
  3. Watch page – is not showing the channels the user subscribed
  4. Zero Privacy – Anyone can view your private information
  5. Loose Subscribers everytime one UPLOADS new video

For instance,

If you appeal for copyright strike on your video, you have to submit your address, name, phone number, street and postal code. All this info gets sent out to the one who files a claim on our YouTube channel video. So, if your YouTube channel is managed under any MCN, then you are safe as they (MCN) have to deal with all the legal stuff. But, if you are a self-managed small time YouTuber, then your personal details are in jeopardy.

For the privacy settings for trending tab issue, YouTube said that “A video can only appear on the trending tab if its privacy setting is public. Videos that change from unlisted to the public are treated the same way as videos that are public from the first upload. However, if your video gets more than 100 views in a single day while unlisted, it will be more difficult for it to appear on Trending. ”

However, the new YouTube algorithm update seems to strike a balance with new creators and the existing ones. Why? Because the new algorithm makes it easier for new creators to get noticed.

The new algorithm is more focused on how YouTube is promoting the content. So, this will eventually affect how videos appear on the homepage and in search results.

Generally, YouTube, videos is promoted considering

  1. Total watch time
  2. Engagement – comments, likes, shares
  3. Metadata – title, description, tags

YouTube’s Response –

Merissa who is a YouTube community manager responded the complaints on their help form by asking you tubers to fill in the survey.

So, till the official solution is out from YouTube, check out the videos of other bigger youtubers losing subscribers.

How it possible to lose so many subscribers if they were real users? Did YouTube give any explanation regarding this?

Just to mention I only gave compliments, so I feel sorry for the people who put the video’s on and those that make wonderful video’s….

I only just subscribed and left wonderful compliments, they took that off for those good musicians, and they sent me thanks, now I have to explain why, when I don’t know, so I can sign in again. There needs to be a new app where everybody can enjoy themselves and everybody can see the compliments or opinions without the added rubbish..

    You know more than me
