Finally, YouTube Space Comes to India. For YouTube India, past three years have been glorious, as two YouTube channels emerged as the leader among Indo-Asiain YouTube users.

YouTube space comes to India – What creators can expect?

Though there are many YouTube channels in India with more than 1 million subscribers, but they belong to television channels, and music labels. Indian creators are now amongst the top contributors in Asia when it comes to driving time spent on YouTube watching videos.

Recently, Google announced its first YouTube space for India. YouTube collaborated with Whistling Woods International film school (Mumbai) in order to enhance the spirit of aspiring YouTube stars in India. YouTube space will share its place with six other cities such as Los Angeles, London, Tokyo, New York, Sao Paulo and Berlin.

What to expect?

Altough YouTube space is free for all, it does have some factors which decide who can use which facility. YouTube space comes with state of the art equipments and assistance from production specialists who can help you produce the video.

  • The user must have 5000+ YouTube subscriber.
  • He/she must be 18 years old. Minors should be with a legal guardian.
  • Channels that have more than 1 million subscribers will get some additional benefits such as:
    • Sage1 access
    • Special equipment demo
    • Eligible to host an event
    • Official space badge
    • Production specialist support Training on advance gear
    • Book 4 months out

Also, the user may also get Short Shoots; that is, one day productions available to any YouTube creator whose channel has more than 5,000 subscribers and is in good standing.

Do not worry if you do not have more than 5000 subscribers, there are many events that are going to be held here in the YouTube space center in the coming year which will help you to start your own YouTube channel.
