Youtuber Movies usually don’t do too well in Hollywood, receiving poor ratings from online reviewing sites and fans. Although, as more professionals realise the huge amount of fans that are drawn to projects associated with digital stars like books, movies, apps, merchandise. People are starting to realise the potential of online entertainers. This is leading to a surge of YouTubers shifting from their short videos to feature films.
This is why YouTube-movies are mostly released on various online platforms(the newest being YouTube Red) to reach their target audiences instead of mainstream cinemas.

1. Grace Helbig, Hannah Hart, Mamrie Hart in Camp Takota
According to Wiki, Grace Helbig is the creator of YouTube channel it’sGrace, she co-produced and starred in the feature films Camp Takota alongside YouTube friends Hannah Hart and Mamrie Hart, and in Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, authored two comedic handbooks, starred in a number of tv shows, and created and hosted the 2015 comedy/talk show on E! –The Grace Helbig Show, which was again a huge hit.
2. Shane Dawson and Lisa Schwartz in Not Cool
Shane Dawson became one of the biggest stars of YouTube a while ago. Today his channels have 7 million subscribers each. He made his Hollywood debut with the comedy-horror Smiley(2012) and then he directed and starred in the 2014 Comedy flick, Not Cool where Lisa Schwartz also played a part. Shane has also released various singles on iTunes and now in 2015 he released a memoir called I Hate Myselfie.
3. Flula Borg in Pitch Perfect 2
The German YouTuber is known for being gifted musically so it was not by any surprise to his fans that he landed a major part in the popular musical film‘s much-awaited sequel. He plays Pieter, which is one of the lead artists of The Bellas’ adversaries, “Das Sound Machine.”
4. Lia Marie Johnson and Cameron Dallas in Expelled
AwesomenessTV collaborated with online personalities like Viner/YouTuber Cameron Dallas and Youtuber Lia Marie Johnson to make teen comedy feature film, Expelled. Lia played the role of Katie and the movie got very average ratings. She currently has a YouTube channel of 1.7 million subs and continues to pursue her dream of singing and acting.

One of the oldest female YouTubers, iJustine who is just about to hit 3 million subscribers on her main channel, played a small role in the Kevin Hart movie-The Wedding Ringer. iJustine‘s online presence and fan interaction are substantially notable. So, infiltrating into the film industry even just a little is still pretty cool.
6. Troye Sivan in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Spud
YouTuber,Singer and Actor, Troye Sivan had a saucy part in one of Marvel’s most outstanding movies. Sivan played a more youthful form of Hugh Jackman’s character in a flashback for Logan (Wolverine) in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Bad Night is an American adventure film starring some popular YouTube personalities.The film was released on July 21, 2015 exclusively through Vimeo on Demand. The plot revolves around the time when Kate and Abby are mistaken for famous art thieves and their fun night out quickly goes from good to bad.
10. Anna Akana in Ant-Man
Joining Troye Sivan in the Marvel Film’s game, YouTuber Anna Akana landed a significant role in Marvel’s Ant-Man. Producer, actress, writer and filmmaker, Akana has a following of 1.5 million on her YouTube. Which led to the switch from producing digital short films to acting in large scale Hollywood. Appearing in the concluding scene alongside Avengers’ Sam/Falcon giving the audience a quick paced foreshadowing to Ant-Man joining The Avengers.
11. Jimmy Tatro in 22 Jump Street
Jimmy Tatro is an actor, comedian, and writer whose YouTube channel LifeAccordingToJimmy has 2.5 million subscribers. He also landed a part alongside Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum starring comedy movie, 22 Jump Street.
Tatro also had a supporting role in Adam Sandler’s Grown Ups 2. Not too far off from his Jump Street role, Tatro played a frat boy once again with the likings of Taylor Lautner and Patrick Schwarzenegger. You can see him next in Blue Mountain State movie as Dick Dawg.
12. Kian Lawley in The Chosen
Kian Lawley also known as SuperKian13 & his collab channel KianAndJC, took a break from YouTube to act in a horror feature film. Kian’s movie, The Chosen certainly sets the bar for his priority in the film business.

Stupendously viral and crazy YouTube Pranksters make the leap to the big screen. Their Lionsgate distributed movie Natural Born Pranksters was released this April Fools and received really low ratings even after promoting the movie on Vitaly’s bare chest while streaking the FIFA World Cup Final 2014 Live.
14. Joe Sugg and Caspar Lee in Joe and Caspar Hit the Road
Joe and Caspar Hit the Road had its big UK red carpet premiere at the Empire, Leicester Square on 22 November 2015, but released on DVD in selected countries on Amazon, iTunes, and Tesco.
15. Lilly Singh in Dr. Cabbie and A Trip to Unicorn Island
Lilly Singh is a successful, famous Canadian YouTuber known as Superwoman on YouTube with over 9 million subscribers. She is also known for her role in the movie “Dr. Cabbie” (2014) and the YouTube series “Giving Back Glam” (2014) ; “The Tube’s Hautest” (2014) and “Lana Steele : Makeup Spy” (2015). She is also known for her rapping skills and has a few music videos.
