  • On August 13, 1987 (32 years ago today), Arista Records released the second single from Whitney's second album - "Didn't We Almost Have It All", written by Michael Masser and Will Jennings, and produced by Michael Masser. Approximately 6 weeks after its release, it reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it remained for 2 weeks and became her fifth consecutive Number One.  The official video is of her live performance of the song at a concert in Saratoga Springs, New York.

The song was written by Diane Warren and produced by David Foster and appeared on Enrique's debut English language album and Whitney:  The Greatest Hits.  The song received chart success in many countries around the world and the video was directed by Francis Lawrence, who went on to be the director of 3 Hunger Games films.
