225 lbs 102.058 KG (2 45 plates on each side) @ 146 lbs 66.2 kg for 12 reps. Direct consciousness work like self inquiry, mindfulness and contemplation, is a lot like playing video games. One analogy is the hammer arcade game machine where the creatures emerge randomly and chaotically (your thoughts) are to be hammered down as quickly and forcefully as you can. But keep in mind that just like weight lifting, there are different degrees in volume and intensities in meditation. Sometimes you want to grind and be forceful - catch and then pound your thoughts back into the void. Other times you want to be gentle...relax and simply witness and let the thoughts go by, let the meditation do you and accept whatever arises. Keep in mind that the goal is never to empty your mind, but watch them like peeping Tom hiding behind the bushes, glancing at naked ladies. Another video game analogy is Mario hanging and jumping from one cliff to the next. This is equivalent to practicing self inquiry where you continuously ask yourself the question “who am I”, or “what am I”. The mind will automatically, through a lifetime of conditioning, supply you with BS answers like your name, your sex, your profession, race, beliefs, hobbies etc. Like peeling an onion, you go from the outer most layer all the way to the center; from the strongest identification to the weakest and the least obvious answers. Sometimes Mario would miss a step and fall into oblivion and the game would be over. But in self inquiry this is where you arrive at the destination. It is when you have nothing to hang on to, when you are in the air, swinging your arms like a maniac, grasping at nothingness that you find your true self. #wAldo#mario#nintendo64 Jogger @riseandshinecoeu Coached by @lambdaphysiques

Q: WHAT IS LOVE? And how does it fit into the big picture? A: Love is the connective tissue/glue that holds every object in the universe together. Love cannot fill the void or the emptiness inside you because it IS emptiness itself. (see my post on emptiness July 11). - Love is what’s left after you’ve stripped away every single program in the mind, including the definition of what love is, the belief that it can be reduced to chemicals inside a brain, or that you are a spiritual cunt having a human experience. - Love can’t add to or subtract away from what you already are. -Romance or family love are conditional; acts of fulfilling the egos and the roles we play. - When you tell another person "I love you", you are reinforcing separation and claiming possession by chopping the other person into little fragments to fill the slots you’ve created for yourself. There is no "I" over here and no "you" over there; you can’t claim to love another person when you are both already the Love that is. - Love is the sky, while relationships are the clouds, arising and passing like farts in the wind. - Love is synonymous with Truth/Being - Love is Absolute Infinity. - Love is Divinity recognizing divinity. Or consciousness becoming directly conscious of itself. - Love is bouncy and elastic, like a basketball - Love feels like near death experiences - Love is eating a 80 dollar steak under a minute at a 360 restaurant and filming it with a 360 camera. Thanks to @selinagassolina, I experienced unconditional Love for the first time. Filmed and edited by @being_frank_yang Music: Maggot Brain from Gasper Noe’s Love

Bach Sarabande in G minor 360. Most of Bach’s music from the Baroque period (1600 - 1750) were originally composed for the organ to be played in churches in the service to the Divine. Composers during this time and the previous Medieval era did not take credit for the music, as they were simply avatars for God’s voice. Students are asked to never go full emo mode or interpret the music personally. It wasn’t until the Romantic period (1800 - 1850), following Jean-Jacque Rousseau’s “The Confession”, the world’s first autobiography that celebrates individual thoughts and feels, as he ruminates on masturbation, urine and feces that man was placed in the center of the creative process. Beethoven was the first Romantic composer. Before Beethoven, the term ‘genius’ was rarely coined to describe an individual, it was perceived as a Muse you receive in visions or by luck rather than a quality cultivated and generated from within. Beethoven was an alcoholic egomaniac who said to Prince Lichnowsky, one of his appreciators and patrons, “Prince, what you are, you are through chance and birth; what I am, I am through my own labor. There are many princes and there will continue to be thousands more, but there is only one Beethoven." However, to view Beethoven’s music as purely ego-based is far too simplistic. The most effective athletic, spiritual and artistic pursuits can be summed up as, ‘the ego starts the process, but Truth takes over’. #sundayschoolfun
