The day I missed a 160 PR on the bench press. 150 flew up today and I was feeling myself. I definitely should have taken a more conservative jump (maybe 155, or 152.5) in weight. Barring any injuries, I know I have 160 (PR) in the next month or so. Hit 140 for a double which was easy. Never did that before so that’s a PR. - I’ve changed up my form from watching some elite bench pressers that I admire, @ufpwrlifter and @jenthompson132. Moved towards keeping my heels on the ground and I’m benching with pinkies on the ring as opposed to what I previously preferred which was more of a close grip (thumbs touching the start of the knurling). Also trying to get more volume in as long as my pec minor lets me because anything more than 5 reps is cardio for me lmao. - Might start benching in squat shoes and wear a belt. Whenever I’m hitting a PR in weight, my low back cramps up.
